High June is a rock band out of eastern North Carolina that is undefined by subgenre rules. They bring soft rock vibes with singles, “After Hours”, energizing punk rock with “What I Need” and even grunge fueled alt-rock with their newest single,“ Someday”. The band’s diverse sound comes from a diverse range of influences amongst the members. Frontman and lead singer, Jack Flowers finds influence in relaxed pop style music as well as country. Meanwhile the drummer, Hayden Church has a background in heavy metal featuring bands Slipknot and Breaking Benjamin. When it comes to guitars our very own Will Sain (Lead Guitar) pulls influence from Guns N’ Roses and Alice in Chains, James Barbee (Rhythm Guitar) brings influences from Led Zeppelin and The Eagles, Ryon Gerringer (Bass)incorporates Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots ; this allows the group to crafta unique sound, pulling the best elements of each genre, and carefully piecing them together. The group has played dozens of shows for hundreds of people. The really impressive numbers come from their music catalog available for streaming on all services like Spotify and Apple Music. With the frequency of shows increasing along with an ever-growing listener base, the band is headed towards a long music career.
