Born in early 2019, Charlotte guitarist Stefan Kallander developed House of Funk for the funk lovers in the Queen City. Every month hips started moving to the sounds of both original groove music and funk classics. The band now occupies an ongoing residency at Middle C Jazz and features a cast of some of Charlotte’s finest musicians, in addition to usual sit-ins and features of other stunning artists from the deep well of Charlotte Funk. With the band recently reaching it’s fifth year anniversary, House of Funk has established itself as a perennial cornerstone of the Charlotte music scene, while being revered by audiences as one of the most enthralling bands they have seen.
